Tho Mountain connects seamlessly to Su Mountain and Dragon Head Cape, forming a sweeping arc that reaches toward the East Sea. At its base lies a stretch of golden sand, endless and pristine, embraced by lush greenery. Tho Mountain stands tall and majestic, like a velvet ribbon draped in clouds, reaching toward the ocean. Midway up the mountain is a centuries-old temple, its pagoda spire peeking through the verdant forest when viewed from the sea.
Vung Chua is cradled by the sturdy Hoanh Son Range, with Dragon Peak in the northwest acting as a natural fortress against harsh winds. To the east, small islands rise like sentinels, shielding the bay from the crashing waves.
Yen Island emerges from the sea, its shape resembling a crouching tiger, guarding the homeland's land and waters. Facing the mainland are sprawling sandy beaches and gentle slopes, while its eastern side boasts dramatic rocky shores standing resolutely against the sea.
According to legend, during his military campaign against Champa, King Le Thanh Tong paused here to erect an altar, praying for divine protection. Victorious, he returned to this sacred land to offer his gratitude to heaven and earth.
Vung Chua - Yen Island is not just a site of breathtaking natural beauty but also a place of profound reverence. It is the final resting place of the legendary General Vo Nguyen Giap, whose strategic brilliance and virtuous legacy have drawn visitors from around the world. This tranquil sanctuary is a testament to the enduring spirit of the land and its people.
