General information

Command Cave – a historical site linked to the legendary Truong Son Trail, once used as a command base of Station 14 – Group 559. Visitors explore the natural cave space and learn powerful wartime logistics and leadership stories.

Phong Nha Cave – the signature river cave of Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park, famous for its underground river system. The visit includes a boat trip on the Son River, entering the majestic cave mouth and viewing stunning stalactites and stalagmites in a cool, peaceful atmosphere.

Paradise Cave is known as an “underground royal palace”, famous for its vast chambers and spectacular stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years. A safe wooden walkway makes it easy to explore this stunning dry cave and enjoy its museum-like natural beauty.

Schedule

07:30 – 08:00 Pick-up by guide and vehicle at your hotel in Dong Hoi, depart for Phong Nha
08:40 – 09:00 Pick-up in the Phong Nha area (for guests staying there), transfer to the first stop: Hang Chi Huy
09:00 – 12:00 Visit Hang Chi Huy – former command base of Station 14 (Group 559). During the war, the cave was adapted for logistics storage, shelter, meetings, and transport coordination along the Truong Son route.
12:00 – 13:15 Lunch at a local restaurant
13:15 – 16:00 Visit Phong Nha Cave. Relax on a wooden boat along the Son River for about 25 minutes, then explore deeper inside to admire unique limestone formations shaped by nature.
16:00 – 17:30 Return to your hotel in Phong Nha or Dong Hoi. End of tour.
