Morning: The Phong Nha Viet driver and guide will pick up the group at Dong Hoi airport/train station, take you for breakfast, and then depart for Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park.
8:00 AM: The group boards the bus and heads to Phong Nha Cave, the wonder of the caves.
Upon arrival at Phong Nha, you will take a boat ride for over 30 minutes (approximately 4 km) along the Son River. This is one of the most beautiful rivers in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng, winding between towering limestone cliffs, calm and picturesque. It is often likened to a paradise on Earth that nature has gifted to mankind. When you reach the cave entrance, the boat engine will be turned off, and you will paddle manually inside for about 1.2 km. You will have the chance to admire the dazzling, majestic stalactite formations. Inside the cave, there is a rich ecosystem with an underground river. You will explore Hang Tien, Hang Cung Dinh, and take photos next to the stunning stalactites.
11:30 AM: The group will enjoy a lunch featuring local specialties from the mountainous region of Phong Nha.
1:00 PM: After lunch, you will continue the journey to visit the Phong Nha Botanical Garden and Thac Gio (Wind Waterfall).
The Botanical Garden – Thac Gio is considered a miniature version of Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park. With its unique flora and fauna, beautiful natural landscapes, and the sense of adventure when visiting the following spots: the Specimen Display House, Golden Anh Stream, Golden Anh Lake, Thac Gio, and the conservation area, this is truly a captivating destination for travelers. After the guide purchases the entrance tickets, you will follow this itinerary:
- Start from the Specimen Display House → Animal Rehabilitation Area → Golden Anh Lake → Peacock Viewing Spot → Rare Tree Forest → Thac Gio.
This journey will take around 120 minutes, covering a distance of about 1,500 meters. The activities include: viewing displayed specimens, observing wild animals, admiring one of the 10 most beautiful bird species in the world, learning about insects, studying aquatic life, admiring orchids, bathing in the stream, exploring the plant world, enjoying the Wind Waterfall, and taking souvenir photos.
3:30 PM: The group will gather and board the bus to return to Dong Hoi.
4:30 - 5:00 PM: Arrive in Dong Hoi. End of the one-day tour exploring the caves and forests of Phong Nha. We look forward to seeing you again!
