Trekking to Hang Thủy Cung – Living Valley

General information

Have you ever done a trekking tour? Is it your first time trekking? This tour will be the first chance for you to try. It is not too hard but not really easy, It take you 4 hours trekking per day.

Schedule

ITINERARY:

Day 01: Dong Hoi – Living valley – Nuoc Lan Cave

7h30: Car and tour guide pick you up at the appointment forwarding to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park

9h00: Stop at Km10 on West – Ho Chi Minh Trail legendary branch , Far from Paradise cave 4 km. Getting arrival, we carefully prepare all things such as equipments, belongings…

On the way, the VietNam Forestry of Surveillance will talk to you, share and help tourist enthusiastically, talks about biodiversity, animals in forest.

After 3 hours trekking in forest, stop to have lunch with group, take a rest and enjoy the vast primary views

In the afternoon:

Keep trekking along the way to Nuoc Lan Cave. On the way, you will enjoy the fantastic views or pass through the unique wooden bridge and take photos

15h30: Come to Nuoc Lan Cave, its length is 600 meters. Prepare to discover the cave with torch light and all necessary equipments arranged by NETIN. The name “Nuoc Lan” is referred to the stream in cave and lost behind Dark Cave

Moving deeper inside to enjoy the original stalagmite and stalactite system formed more than 400 million years ago

In the evening: Have food with Fried, Boiled chicken, pork, sour soup from 5-star fruit cooked by people in group. Talking and Breaking the ice and play games arranged before.

Then go to sleep with careful tent and enjoy the night sound

Day 02: Nuoc Lan Cave – Living Valley – Dong Hoi.

In the morning: After the breakfast, taking photo and enjoy the morning views with fogs

Forwarding to Living Valley with unforgotten memories from Nuoc Lan Cave

Get arrival Thuy Cung Cave, prepare jacket-life, torch light carefully arranged by NETIN. Line up and go inside the Thuy Cung Cave. The water is very cool and it is like cooling pool that makes you feel no more tired. Get inside; you can realize how deep it is. People calling each other is like the echo sound

At Noon: Get back and have lunch with group and return with the old path to Km10 on West Ho Chi Minh legendary trail branch. Enjoy with cool beverages and have lunch, take a rest and go back Dong Hoi

What we provide:

Camping gear: tent, camp light, sleeping bag
Caving & safety gear: caving helmet, caving headlight, gloves
Dry bag (for clothing and personal belongings excl. electronics)
Basic canvas trekking boots (only if you do not have your own pair) sizes 38 - 46
Meals: picnic lunches, breakfast (day 2), dinner (day 1)
Professional English-speaking tour guide and guide safety assistant
Porter team to carry all camping gear and prepare all meals
Shared dry box for phones and small cameras (limited availability for larger cameras)
Katadyn (Swiss-made) water purifier (used only by guide and porters) and water bottle.
Basic camping facilities with eco-friendly compost toilet using western toilet seat
First Aid Kit and Medical Rescue Equipment (application by guides and porters only

What you need:

Please also bring with you the following:

1 long (easy to dry) pants and 1 long sleeved shirt to wear during the trek (quick dry)
1 pair of shorts and t-shirt to wear at campsite
1 pair of trekking boots/shoes (if you prefer your own comfortable pair)
1 pair of flip flop (sandals) for campsite
1 medium size towel
1 -2 pairs of calf length close weave socks (not ankle socks!)
Small backpack for your water bottle and personal belongings
Personal items: mosquito repellent, sunglasses, hat, camera, underwear, toiletries

If you are trekking in the colder months (December – March) please bring additional warm clothes for the evening and an extra change of long pants and shirt for swimming.
