U Bo Mountain is the highest one in the Phong Nha Ke Bang region. Therefore the area owns a distinctive climate as compared with other areas in Quang Binh province. The weather here is cool year around. Average temperature is around 18⁰ to 20⁰C. Most of area is covered by the rich forest where is home to many kinds of animals such as langurs, monkey, gibbon and so on.

 Due to temperate, elevation, precipitation and other factors, the vegetation of the U Bo mountain is featured by tropic and subtropic as well. The scientist has discovered some species that belong to the subtropic  in the area.
