It is quite convenient to arrive Dong Hoi, the city of Quang Binh province from the air, train and sleeping bus.

BY PLANE

Several flights from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh per day exploiting by Vietnam airlines or Jet star and Viet Jet will shorten your schedule and make convenience. Flying over this vast landscape you have the unique opportunities to a bird’s eye view of the developing cities and towns.

BY BUS

Night buses from Ha Noi to Quang Binh exploiting by Hung Long, Hoang Linh or Hung Thanh and Hoang Long will depart at 7pm and 8pm, cost around 200.000Vnd ($9). It makes easy and budget cost for lots of backpackers.

BY TRAIN

Train seems to be the most popular way to get there because of its safe and fluent features. To get there, it would be nice with a night train as SE3; SE19; SE1 and QB1, QB3 from Ha Noi (extended train for Tourist from Ha Noi to Quang Binh on summer only). To get the ticket you must present your ID or Passport No as well as your full name. It takes around 9 hours to get to Dong Hoi, train is also a good idea. The cost is round 480.000Vnd – 700.000 VnD.

Hue is closer than and train or Bus is both suitable. You may spend around 100.000Vnd for the transport. From Ho Chi Minh, flight is the most ideal. Of course, it is too far and you don’t want to spend 25 hours on train.
